Bingley's Teas is a small Minnesota based business in the heart of Minneapolis. Our location is 118 East 26th St. Suite 208 in the Tanek building. We are right by Eat Street and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Bingley's Teas office is now open with two tasting studios! You can also make appointments for tea tastings with a group of friends. Look for our tea pairing classes and more, soon to come.
The Camellia Sinensis obsessed Temptress of Teas took the love she had for tea culture, Taiwan teas, her respect for the tea farmers and Jane Austen, and a little burlesque sass,to tie them all together. The result was The Jane Austen Tea Series, profiling characters of tea and Austen characters personalities for a match. And, for traditionalist tea lovers, a Temptress of Teas line to explore the full on experiential side of Oolong teas!
Traveling to tea origin, visiting high mountain areas from world class tea producers, the study of this amazing leaf never fails to inspire. Unfortunately, not all teas can make the grade. Julia Matson, a certified tea specialist by The Specialty Tea Institute out of New York, has been studying the good, the bad and the ugly in cupping form for years. Willing to taste the tea frogs to find you a tea Prince, has been her mission. Bingley's Teas was founded in 2008 in order to share those teas and eventually adding in our own blends. The goal is to simplify finding tea worth drinking and to help others discover steeping loose leaf tea. Now , more people than ever in the US are keeping it loose. This is sure to add another layer of fabulous to the Afternoon Tea Table whether you love British or Gong Fu Cha style of steeping!
Bingley's Teas, mainly an online business, can also be found served in some of the best restaurants, cafes, and bars (did someone say cocktail?!) in Minneapolis and in gift shops/tea rooms across the country and in Canada. We hope to continue to share the love and wisdom of tea and Jane Austen with others. Let's get sipping!
